I heard a greta story over spring break about a ghost named Douglas
that resides in some paintball course. I've never been there, but my
informant used to work there, and tells me that Douglas was very
responsive to the workers there. He didn't like being called "Doug" or
just "ghost" and would materialize or play some sort of prank on
whoever called him one of those. He especially disliked those who
claimed not to beleive in him and would lock them in the bathroom or
do crazy pranks to frighten the sceptics and make them believers.
One of the first stories I heard was of two guys late one
night cleaning up the area when they saw Douglas walk by the door.
Bill commented to the other guy that they weren't alone, and
apparently Douglas heard him because he stuck his head through the
wall next to the door and grinned at them both. Another time he
materialized and walked right through some guy named Vlad. I guess
they all knew Douglas was going to show up because they felt their
hair standing on end.
Yet another story was of Douglas scaring a sceptic who was up
late one night cleaning the guns. Brett heard a voice say "when the
hell are you going to bed?!" and the guy who was cleaning came over
where Brett was napping and laid down immediately. About 20 minutes
later, with both guys still wide awake, Douglas got impatient and said
"Did you think i was kidding?" Both guys slept in their cars that
night.
Douglas had a habit of playing around in the offices and
sticking body parts through walls to surprise people, and even a few
paintball players who haven't known about him have come back to
apologise for hitting some guy in the face who wasn't wearing goggles,
fitting Douglas' description.
That's all I can remember for now, but if I can think of more,
I'll write..
